i smoke new si's, rsx type s, 350z and s2000. i have the 6 speed manual. the funnest car ive drivin. i beat a 1.8 gti with a front mount, intake and exaust, and engine software.

I got mine few weeks ago and its great. I used to drive a MkIV VR6 and this car is miles apart but it still feels like the GTI that I've driven for so many years.

I think you get the best of both worlds with the GTI. It's a pretty comfortable ride and it performs very well. If you get the Autobahn package you can get a nice sporty interior like the R32. Depending on your budget, the GTI can be a great first car. However compared to other competitors it's a bit more expensive but there's also loads of options to choose from. If your on a tighter budget I think the Rabbit can be found for under 20k brand new.

GTI - Three little letters which make a BIG difference lol...You don't notice too much on the new cars... but try MK2 lol... Huge difference lol... Tho the video was quite boring actually... Needed to show some sharp angles and some speed with some awesome music also show how aggressive a GTI can be

The MKV GTI, once modded, can beat all the cars he listed easily. ECU, Intake, TBE, HPFP, FMIC and you are looking at around 265-280 WHP w/ 320-340 WTQ. Mid 13's

I have a mkIV 1.8T, slightly modded, chipped, intake, GHL exhaust is being paid for. New SI's,rsx type S, s2000, none of those are a problem, the one IM looking at is the 350Z. I have a friend with one and it is FAST, My GTI is fast, but the Z is just nasty. But there were 2 1.8T's, one was the aww(i think) @ 150 CHP, and the AWP(mine) @ 180 CHP. So i wanted to know what year....(he'll prolly say it was an 02.5 just so it makes us think it was the "fast" one)

i think he said it was a 2.0T which are the MKV's. Who knows though. The MKV have a lot of potential though.

Im still not sure what the whole hype about golfs are, ive driven one, cant stand the blind spots and it handles weird, decent pickup though, plus my grandmother owns one so its automatically not cool, but it could be weird to me since i drive a 99 wolfsburg jetta and a beat up old jeep cherokee =]
