This is a FAQ that i made to answer most of your questions on how to burn ps2 games. I know its nothing special but I'll try to make today another ppc video!

I have found something out, dont know how much this have been spread but as far as i know im the only one who knows..
NTSC & PAL doesn't matter with HDTVs
i have NTSC PS2 but when I use PAL on HDTV it works as if it was NTSC, everyone should go HD
even tho SwapMajic changes to PAL SOMETIMES/(or ALL) the bottom of screen can be OFF. but the HDTV make it fit PERFECT

Agreed, and by the way, my tv is PAL and I've got around 90 games for my ps2 (I download without even looking if its pal or ntsc) and they all play perfectly. I think its all about my ps2 mod chip (I guess it converts them it self or something) so instead of buying a whole new HD TV, you should just find the correct mod chip that does the same thing with mine. i did everything i needed to, burned and copied a copyright ps2 game to a dvd-r, but when inserted to ps2 it was a no-go, fortunately after many many hours of searching i heard i needed this swap magic so you save my black ass bigtime man, also for the record peeps, you dont need to buy a swap magic, as you can download that, well, anything you want games, software, music et canything you like using a utorrent jus down load it from there site, and go to thepiratebay . org and you can get ANYTHIN

Tend to disagree my friend. If you'd download swap magic and burn it on a DVD, why do you think it would recognize it as a valid ps2 game? A burned swap magic is no better than any other ps2 burned game. Just think logically, the swap magic is just like any other ps2 game so when you buy it, it loads because its original and the ps2 lets it run. When you copy the swap magic, it won't even load just like any other copy game for ps2. So the only way is to buy it.

DVD+R NEVER NEVER fails unless u burn wrong
i can burn right with dvd-r but they usally have problem/loadSLOW, am i missing something?
why are people using dvd-r? its good for other things like movies n PC but DVD+R works all the way, and DVDs can be found almost any where its not hard to find. and i u cant find it, remeber you're on a COMPUTER look it up..common sense

I don't understand what you mean. For me, absolutely any type of DVD/CD works except of Dual layer. I don't even check the type of DVD I'm buying because I know that my DVD writer is a +/- and that the ps2 also supports both of them. Seriously, what you're saying is wrong. But I agree with your last sentence, people that ask stuff (like hineskamau08) need to try and think a bit logically. You're in the 21 century, DVDs have been around for quite some time, you need to catchup my friend...

I did EVERYTHING in ur burning game vids. I have a fat ps2 just like you. I have swap magic and a flip top software mod. When I insert tenkaichi 3 swap magic says"not a valid ps2 disc" and when i put sonic heroes it works but when it goes to the now loading screen and it freezes. now i have to download ANOTHER game which will take 3 days just to see if it works. what am i doing wrong? *plz answer me

A game is most probably about 3000MB of size so it wont fit on a normal cd. You'll need a DVD for that.
