Well, she talks like that because she's English. She sounds American because, according to one of her interviews, accents disappear when you sing. Also "when you open up your vowels, they sound the same."

I don't really get the concept...the song is about how someone you love can make their way into your heart and how you love them back even if others try to keep you apart. In this vid, they fight and he walks out. This doesn't follow the song at all (and neither does the other version for that matter). I love the song and the vid is great, I just wish it wasn't so confusing!
