This is meant to be a video response to RedDevilDazzy's Spyro stuff vid, but there were severe technical complications last night; the video was uploaded just fine, but it never showed up.
Anyway, I'm trying again. This one shows all *my* Spyro stuff as it currently stands. What I have on presentation here is my games (PS1, PS2, Gameboy Advance) and various miscellaneous stuff that I have lying around, split up into four mini-sections. The musics utilised in the vid are all done by
myself and in this order - * Intro/Outro - "That Fryday Morning Feeling" (Spyro the Dragon - opening theme arrangement) * PS1 games - "Tangerine Channel" (Crash Bandicoot 2 - sewer stage arrangement) * PS2 games - "Mobius Fly Trap" (Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Aquatic Ruin Zone arrangement) * GBA games
- "Smoothie Brace" (Cave Story - Geothermal arrangement) * Other stuff - "Tomorrow's Wake" (Sonic & Knuckles - Sky Sanctuary Zone piano arrangement)
[ADDITIONAL NOTE: Since recording the video I managed to play the other incarnations of The Legend of Spyro, though I only kept the DS version. I also managed to rent Shadow Legacy not long after that too. So it can be noted that the video is slightly outdated, lol.] I hope this video shows up so
much clearer. Thanks for your time.

That's because that's what it's known at in America. As implied in the video, I'm not American but rather a British gamer (hence the British titles for that and Spyro Adventure/Fusion).

riptos rampage makes more sence as a name because glimmer is only the first level and riptos throughout the entire game and i like the US cover and title more.

I see your reasoning, though I see "Gateway to Glimmer" to be some kind of pun. Sure, Spyro arrived in Avalar through Glimmer (hence the reference there), and given the series' music's rock-ish roots, the titlers for the UK version HAD to be listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin (specifically "Stairway to Heaven"). Do you see what I mean?

I couldn't even tell there was a crack in the case of Spyro 2. Hehe, nice collection Rexy. Be sure to buy Dawn of the Dragon. Having any expectations you'd like to share?

Well, the fact that most of us haven't experienced a game from the new developers before (Etranges Libellules) pretty much says that I can't be too hopeful until I actually see what they can do. Some developers provide some awesome material on their first few products (Ready At Dawn), while some screw up and vanish after theirs (Check 6). It's all touch and go as far as I know, though I can't deny they threw in some good gameplay ideas; let's hope they get some great execution as well.

Why do you suppose Krome isn't working on this title and do you have hopes that this will be one of 2008's most anticapted titles that it will make Spyro a "big name franchise" (like Mario, Zelda, Halo)?

I don't care how big the name is; I just want to enjoy it. For me, games should be fun and challenging; hence, that's why I think Okami for example should have received more attention than it should have got, likewise with the Katamari Damacy franchise and the like.
I don't know why Krome's not working on it though; possibly they're too caught up with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the PS2 and PSP to work on anything else right now (and that IS a majorly anticipated multi-platform game).
