Well, they have to take some Conservative positions in order to maintain the illusion of, Conservatism. It is precisely the use of Norman's ideas by anti-semites that makes it all the MORE important for him to be expressing them, giving the clarity and qualifications these criticisms need, and the importance of criticism from a proper historical context. Unfortunately Michael Coren is less interested in the content of Norman's ideas and more interested in talking about what a naughty boy Norman is for using inappropriate language to express his ideas. Yes, I understand. At this point Coren is setting the tone that Finkelstein is vilified for his views and perhaps swinging towards emotionality when discribing swindlers, as if he is more emotionally involved rather than intellectually.
Coren wants to set a distance between himself and Finkelsteins view...as if Coren is the intellectual and Finkelstein has an agenda and perhaps an axe to grind.
