Um crazedfan... how about you learn your music??? Corey Taylor was in Stone Sour 3 YEARS before he even entered Slipknot, he was recruited by them at a show Stone Sour was doing, and eventually Jim Root came with. Fuck why can't people read and share the truth, its all over the god damn internet. And Slipknot is really Corey's "side project" according to him.

Corey taylor's voice truly amazes me. He can sound really heavy and then go to clean and hard at the same time. Truly one of the greatest vocalist of this time.

Actually, Corey and Jim started out in Stone Sour and were invited to join Slipknot. They made the albums Slipknot, Iowa, Voliminal etc then went on Hiatus. Corey resumed his work with Stone Sour and helped produce other bands and did guest appearances. Now Slipknot are back stronger than ever.

...This is actually pretty recent, and he only wears the mask as a member of Slipknot. Most of the other times (like when he's performing as a member of Stone Sour), he's unmasked.
