God bless you Jeff for giving us what memories and great music as long as you could, buddy! I remember when he was in "Road House" with Patrick Swayze when Patrick said to him "You play pretty good for a blind white guy" and Jeff replied "And I thought you'd be bigger"..he was funny and I'll miss him for sure as will the rest of his fans too!
Jeff's in a far better place now, I'm sure! God speed, Jeff, we'll all see you again some day, I'm sure! GREAT MUSICIAN! R.I.P. Jeff...

I had the honor of standing right next to him when I was a bouncer at a club while he played. I had to be next to him to make sure he didn't fall off the stage or so no one came up to touch him or anything. He and his band were playing a concert across the street at Shea's concert hall and they came into the club afterwards. After a drink or two they kicked the headline band that night off stage and played for about an hour! So freak'n awesome. One of my best memories when I was a bouncer....

R.I.P Jeff.....You'll always be remembered for your different style of playing. You were blind but you played the Guitar upside-down on your lap. You're in a lot better place. A great loss to the music industries. :(

John Hiat actually recorded this song and it is on one of his Greatest Hits albums. I know this because I had a copy of John Hiat's Greatest Hits before it was stolen from me. Mr. Hiat did a good job on it, but Jeff Healy took this song to a whole other level than what John Hiat could do. John Hiatt's Greatest Hits also had him singing Drive South, which was later done by Suzy Boggus.

On March 2, 2008 Jeff Healey died of cancer at St. Joseph's Health Centre in his home town of Toronto. His death came a month before the release of his new album, Mess of Blues, which was his first rock album in 8 years.
