Its a good idea for people who are useless at tuning/restringing. And i suppose it could be handy when playing live and not have to change guitar every five minutes.
But a les paul weighs a fair bit anyway, before the addition of computers and mechanisms. It must weigh a ton!

its pretty fancy, but to be honest, I dont see the point of paying more for these features. If you know how to play guitar at a decent level, you can do all this by yourself in a very short amount of time.
