Damn that would be nice! Hehehe. I don't see the republican party collapsing though. It'll probably just reform to keep its "competativeness" against the democrats. It seems politics doesn't matter as long as you're in charge when it comes to the democrats and republicans. The libertarian party are the pretty much the only one who have said the same things all the time :P

Damn the media REALLY fucked Ron Paul. They try to show him as crazy and "un-electable". If the media was for Ron Paul, he would win the election by a CLEAR MILE. This shows that the president is now chosen by the media, they lie and feed this bs and most people (ignorant) believe it.

Rodman 332 makes an awesome point. Consider an alternate reality where Fox gave Ron Paul some viability and took him seriously. What if he was given more respect at the debate, like he deserves. Could Ron Paul have picked up the Republicans and those independent moderates also? How many Dems would have jumped ship on Obama? We'll never know, but it's still a great question that rodman brings to mind.

"How many Dems would have jumped ship on Obama?" 95% of Blacks and 67% of Latinos went on Obama, whereas whites kept their historical 43% dem 57% rep track. So the question is: would so many (minority) reps still have jumped ship to Obama if he was running aganst Ron Paul? Well, I doubt. Only another Black person will ever be able to beat Obama now, unless whites start voting racist like blacks and latinos.

sadly I think your right when I said that I would vote for ron paul I was called everything but a sell out. it is kind sad my people don't care what type of black president it is so long as it is a black president and I guarantee no matter what he does the media won't call him on it just so they won't be called racist

I just hope that Obama is one of the best Presidents we've had in recent memory.
The first-ever Black (or first-ever female, for that matter) President HAS to be. If a white male President messes up, we say, "Gee, that guy was a lousy President." But you know — you just KNOW — that if Obama messes up, all too many people will be saying, "See what happens if you let a Blac
k person* be President?" (* or less polite words to that effect) Ditto female, had Hillary won and messed up.
If only Ron Paul ... ( 1 week ago by COMALiteJ)
If only Ron Paul had been all he claimed to be. I, too, believed in him, and you can see posts from me on his videos earlier this year supporting him.
But, he let me down. I don't mean by not doing better in the Primaries. I mean by his policies, his beliefs, his positions. He is NOT — repeat: *NOT* — a libertarian. He's a neo-confederate (NOT to be confused with a Neo-Conservative — he most definitely is NOT THAT!). This is a vital dist
inction.
interesting. never ... ( 4 days ago by hpso12xu)
interesting. never heard that one before. so, in regards to Ron Paul, can you please compare and contrast HIS relationship to libertarianism and neo-confederatism (if that's even an "ism").
Array ( 4 days ago by COMALiteJ)
Sure thing!
A libertarian is one who holds the Inherent and Unalienable Rights of Personhood as the ultimate force in politics and government. A neo-confederate (so-named to distinguish them from the original Confederate States of America which included slavery) is one who holds that "States' Rights" is the
ultimate power. Now, what do we hear Ron Paul actually saying? "We don't dictate to the states" (true enough on the face of it).
But he's gone way ... ( 4 days ago by COMALiteJ)
But he's gone way beyond that.
He has stated that the Bill of Rights does not apply to the States, that the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified under duress by the former Confederate States and so is invalid (which is how he can oppose Birthright Citizenship, which is explicitly stated in the Fourteenth). He has said that States
should even be able to establish official State religions! This would of course be VERY oppressive to the rights of the people of other religions in such States.
In word and deed, ... ( 4 days ago by COMALiteJ)
In word and deed, he has made it clear that he places "States' Rights" ABOVE the Inherent and Unalienable Rights of Personhood.
Thus, he is no libertarian, but a neo-confederate. He calls himself "The Champion of the Constitution." But WHICH Constiutution? In 2003, in an essay on the alleged "War on Christmas," he wrote that the Declaration and Constitution are "both REPLETE WITH references to God."
Gee, you'd think ... ( 4 days ago by COMALiteJ)
Gee, you'd think that the Champion of the Constitution would KNOW that the U.S. Constitution has ZERO references to God, other than a formal date in the accepted style of the time (spelling out the literal meaning of "Anno Domini" [what "A.D." in dates stands for]: "In the Year of Our Lord").
However, the Constitution of the CONFEDERATE States of America DOES explicitly invoke "Almighty God"! Is THAT the Constitution he's the "Champion" of!?
