Well..!It looks super fast,i bet it is!But what about the handling?If i cant controle it on a country road and crash it what then!The car isn't finisched and just like xxlliquid sayd it needs a 4 motion drive train.Put a Golf R 32 and a Golg W 12 on tha track an see the result.R 32 wins with much better handling despite the less HP.

Damn. I see it handles poorly around corners. That could be improved if they put the 4-motion AWD drivetrain on it. But wouldn't it improve the handling if they put the 4.2-liter V8 in it instead of a V12? I don't think the guy understands that a car with a V12 is supposed to be a racecar. No A/C. Roll the windows down. They could greatly improve the car by putting larger brakes, AWD and better handling features on it. They should use it as a concept car and improve it. It's backheavy.

I also think the car is more meant to be a concept car than anything else. I wouldn't have put a V12 in a GTI. The GTI is just not the right car for it. I think it would have been better to build a Passat with the V12. I think if they knock the motor down to the 4.2-liter V8, it would handle much better and they could fit more creature comforts into the car. They should put the 6-liter V12 into the Audi R8 instead. The R8 is just a better car for it. Honestly the GTI isn't meant for a V12.

I mean this was the whole problem that Dodge had with the Viper. The V10 made the car frontheavy and the RWD didn't help. Dodge could have greatly improved the Viper by putting the Hemi V8 in it instead of a V10.

Beautiful car. If they perfect this mix, I'd definitely buy one, especially a 4 door w/ 4motion. I've always liked VWs over Hondas for quality; they should work on their small engines, then rice-burner boys will convert... Hell, why am I even comparing the two? Go VW!

Well a car with a 12-cylinder is almost always mid-engined, rwd. In the Golf W12, I'm pretty sure the car is rear-engined, I'm not sure if it's front, rear or all-wheel drive. But you notice it has very little creature comforts, which is something you don't really buy a 12-cylinder car for. I mean it's a "sports car" engine, in a sub-compact car. The engine is just better suited to larger cars such as the A8 or it would be nice to see a version of the R8 with it.

To add to that, it's got 650hp, which is more than plenty for a car that size and maybe a little too much for that car to handle. Plus you gotta think about how it handles. A car like that with a 6-liter twin-turbo W12. Even if the enigne is "mid" mounted, although it looks and sounds more rear mounted, a 6-liter engine has to be pretty heavy. I mean don't get me wrong, they have the right idea here, but I think a 12-cylinder is just the completely wrong engine. V8 would be a little better.

It's rwd because the engine is also in the rear. I think the engine is something for a luxury car you want comfort and strong acceleration from it. The V8 in the R8 I would keep.

Well it would be kind of cool to see an R8 with the twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12. The 4.2-liter that's in it barely breaks 420hp. Originally, Wikipedia says they were going to use the RS6 engine (5-liter V10 TFSI) with 572hp, but it overheated, so maybe the W12 might overheat as well? It says though that Audi is coming out with an R8 with a different version of the V10 from the Gallardo coming out in 2009. Idk it would be cool to see one w/ a W12. W12 is better suited for the R8.

By the way, most competing "luxury" or "executive" cars use V8s. There are a few with V12s and V10s. Such as a few Mercedes models, and the BMW M5. Even now they're coming out with a V8 in the M3. Idk a 12-cylinder is better suited to mid-engine cars. Or sports exotic cars. They DID come out with a version of the Passat with a W12 I believe. Or maybe it's a W8, not sure.

It corners poorly because they've turned a front wheel drive front engine car into a rear wheel drive rear engine car. It has lost its balance completely. The other stuff is irrelevant though, its a just concept car.
