OMG the only people that hate this movie are die hard super fans of the play and hate the fact that Gerard Butler played the phantom. I honestly think his voice is better than michael crawford.

Not all people who hate the movie are phans of the MUSICAL. You can like both. People who like the original book don't like the movie sometimes either. Please don't judge phans though on their interests.
Another thing, when it gets down to the basics, Michael is a better singer because he has experiance. Does that mean I don't like Gerry's voice? No. When it comes to Gerry though, some phans of the stage or bookwish that the original people were in the movie and not a sexy young cast.

im some1 who loves the movie, book and the musical!! Book bc it was very well written. Movie bc young crew members n orginal. Musical bc stronger voices. But i agree with u gerry as a better voice then michael. Gerry's is more smooth and soothing. Michael's is strong n very loud. im more 4 soothing. lol The musical had AMAZING sets
