ha ha ha benny2rats. Didn't you know you bought a Fiat? Alfa Romeo made excellent and gorgeous cars unfortunately it disappeared in 1987. Fiat and their brands Alfa and Lancia are worst cars in the world. Be careful, I am warning you.

Am pleased you agree, by saying that fiat and alfa are the worst brands in the world:) I hear that alfas made in 1980s where worse than the junk they make today, you could see them rust before your very eyes, and that many owners abandoned them, as they got so sick of the repairs:) I researched all the motoring info available during that period:) and they clearly state that they never made excellent cars:)

All cars are a bad "investment"! You can't "make" money on them! You'll just lose more with an Alfa but my god you'll have a great time while doing so. If anyones going to buy an Alfa, buy it second hand,never new, and know your stuff!

Not all cars are a bad investment, take the british mini for example:) it holds its value extremely well, as dose the british volkswagon. And I have'nt met anyone who told me that they have enjoyed alfa ownership, read The JDPOWER CUSTOMER SURVEY:)ALFA OWNERS ARE VERY UNHAPPY:)LOL

You still lose money as soon as you sit into a car after purchase VW, Toyota, Honda, whoever. The mini is a niche thing not a representative example of the car market.
As for no happy Alfa owners, you must've read some of the happy comments on this thread. We can't all drive taxi's, ahem, I mean Skoda's AKA the skinflints VW! LOL

There where just a few who liked alfa, but it turned out most of them where based in italy? strange that:) You can't deny fact and figures, and the fact that they are unreliable junk, and those figures are comfirmed by breakdown operators,italian and french cars are at the bottom:)lol

You don't buy an Alfa for reliability, Alfa owners know this, they understand. By the same token you don't buy a Skoda (No.1) for performance, driving enjoyment & style, LOL! It's swings & roundabouts!

Lol Benny! there r 2 types of used alfas,ones that have been flogged and ones that have been looked after!
Alfas tend to be driven really hard and the ones that have will obviously need work done to them, make sense? Do your homework properly and dont buy one that has been flogged!
If you want a boring car that hasnt been driven hard buy a japanese, they rarely break down because they are driven so slowly thus the engine is barely being pushed.

I have owned 4 Alfas and none of them have ever broke down.......i always got mine serviced every 6 months and get the timing belt changed before you are supposed to.....do this and you will have no problems....Benny is an idiot.... he must be if he thinks British cars are good!!!!

Maybe the GTA version is made stronger on the front.........but I don't think so.
When you see this story from another side,..
this car isn't made for beginning,..bad or unprofessional drivers........so the front save wouldn't be a very big problem for real Alfisti's...or people who can drive very well.
Older cars from the early 90s or 80s never heared from Euro NCAP before....
